Thanks to everyone who attended the Rio Nido Centennial Celebration on Sunday, December 19th. Over 200 people braved the wet weather conditions to make gingerbread houses, donate canned food to the Redwood Empire Food Bank, share their favorite potluck item, visit the historic Rio Nido Lodge, and share memories that will most assuredly linger. Guests included long-time Russian River families, home owners, local government officials, and local business owners–ages ranged from babies to folks in their 90’s.
Special thanks to the Rio Nido Roadhouse, Rio Nido Lodge, Rio Nido Home Owner’s Association, Russian River Historical Society, and the Friends of Rio Nido, who all helped with donating space, festive decorating, preparing food, providing activities, and historical information and memorabilia.

Here’s to making the next 100 years full of “Memories That Linger.”
